A sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional information about each URL. The good thing is that the new blogger version has sitemap.xml file on the server so you can submit these files search engines.
You don't need to use any external tools to generate a sitemap because the blogger already creates its own version of the sitemap.
What is a sitemap?
A sitemap is an XML file containing your blog's URLs. This file helps crawlers locate all of your blog's URLs. A crawler can monitor certain aspects of your site, such as your sitemap's size and the number of URLs in your sitemap. In short, a sitemap is a full blog index that you want to see bots from the search engine.
The Benefits of Using a Sitemap
A sitemap tells Google which pages and files you think are relevant on your site, and also provides valuable details about these files: for instance, when the page was last modified, how often the page is changed, and any other language versions of the page.
Sitemap became important if you have a big site with so many pages. Whenever You create a new post or modifying it, the new content can easily be crawled by search engine bot if you have submitted the sitemap to search engine console.
